Dining Out For Life April 28, 2008

I had the wonderful pleasure of being an ambassador for “Dining Out For Life” at the Cafe Azalea last Thursday evening.  It was a wonderful experience assisting others while dining on scallops and visiting with old friends and meeting new ones.  My thanks go out to all of those who came out and made our night a success.  (even those like Steve, Ruthann and Christian who got the last minute call)  Everyone was incredibly generous and kind.   All of the restaurants that supported this effort gave 20% of their proceeds to Western North Carolina’s Aids Project..better known as WNCAP.  It would be a terrible mishap if I did not note that the locally owned Cafe Azalea donated both 20% of their lunch proceeds as well as their dinner proceeds.  Thanks again to their staff for their hospitality towards me and WNCAP.

I promised all of you a little info on “Hollabrook Farm”, here goes…Spring has definitely arrived at Hollabrook Farm.  The Lake was especially pretty with the mama duck and all her babies.  This development was done right.  The lake, the pool, and the club house all in place just awaiting your new home.  I toured through one of Duckett, Powell and Thompson’s farm house style homes.  I found it lacks none of the modern conveniences with a flare of nostalgia with its claw footed tub in the master bath.  This home was made for living…Way to go guys…For more info on this please feel free to email me at lcrook@c21allseasons.com  or check out their website.

bye for now….Lori

How Lucky Am I April 23, 2008

How lucky am I to live in Asheville, NC, and sell Real Estate for Century 21 All Seasons.

I work with some of the most wonderful people on this earth.  Most people talk about their “team” or their “work family”.  Well at Century 21 All Seasons, we define it.  I feel so priviledged to have a career I love and to love the people I do business with.  Our office is located in the heart of Biltmore Village, just a stones throw to the Biltmore Estate and Gardens.  Our building looks like a castle, yet feels like a home, this I attribute to the people inside.

I look out my window and view the village with all the new spring green growth popping up on the large, maple trees and see the pink on the azeala bushes in front of the business in front of me.  What a way to start a day!  In my next few hours I will spend time  with someone I only met days ago and will assist him in finding a new home.  How fun it is to get to share in that kind of excitement and joy.   We will be looking in the South Asheville area, known as Arden.  We will tour thru some homes and laugh a little  (if it is like the last two days we spent together) and we will return to make some decissions.  I know we will be sucessful.

Have you ever visited Asheville NC, the Biltmore House or the Blue Ridge Mountains?  What did you think?  I heard Asheville was voted as the “HAPPY CITY”  have you heard this?  I believe it!!!!

Tomorrow I plan to ride out to Fletcher, NC to see a new developement “Hollabrook Farm”.  I will blog soon to let you know what I find out there.

Please respond or email me at lcrook@c21allseasons.com

Take Care….Lori
